A few years ago I decided I had had enough of being fat and that it was time to do something about it. At the end of the day I was aware that I needed to formulate my own weight loss plan. I have never liked the thought of attending a gym, they seem to be full of thin people, however I knew that exercise would need to be a factor.

I gained inspiration from a friend of mine, Jason. He is a very successful man with various business interests including to do with upvc doors, obtaining cheap calls and offering trade equipment.

As well as exercise, I also realised that I had to change my eating habits. I am somebody who likes to eat all the wrong types of food. I love all types of take away including pizzas, a curry, a chinese, and chips. I was forever eating between meals; eating items such as chocolate and cakes. Then there was alcoholic drinks – I am not an alcoholic but I certainly enjoyed drinking a few beers on a Saturday and Sunday night.

I could not bare the thought of stopping myself from eating all of these foods and instead decided to write down a list of everything that I ate on a daily basis. By doing this I could moniter what I was eating in a much better and beneficial way.

This is what I decided to eat on average per day.

I would eat a healthy breakfast such as toast or cerial. I would try not to eat any snacks in between any meals, this was the thing that would be most difficult to stick to.

For lunch I would also stick to something healthy like pasta, however for my evening meal, I decided that I could eat anything that I wanted, including curry. On the weekend I would always treat myself to a takeaway and would allow myself some alcohol.

This type of diet needs a lot of discipline and character, however it hs helped me to become a lot more confident and happy with life.

Causes Of Obesity

Posted by Naiza on Jun 23, 2010 in Women's Interests

People these days are much more busier these days to even think about their health and get rid of the extra fat they gain daily. This is specially the case with many Americans.  With many of these people having a higher amount of a body mass index (usually more than 30), it also cause them some kind of a stress and sadness as well.

Causes of obesity are branched in too many categories. How often have you seen skinny and thin type of people gaining weight within couple of months and become extremely fat.THis is highly possible due to the medication given to a person to diagnose another illness, hence the effects of it will cause a high acceptability of gaining more calories.

Aquiring this kind of weight gaining from the family is another kind of causes of obesity. When our body becomes more available for a larger quantity of food it becomes much harder to control the situation.

The term “obesity “is not taken seriously by many Americans and many medical professionals. Even in documentary programs it is often seen the humor with an overly weighed person. This is after not knowing the serious problems it could cause to the individual. High blood pressure, hardness of breathing and also high sugar level is all vulnerable to a person with obesity.

Fast food is better advertised and made tempting for many Americans with a busy shedule. These fast foods will have excessive levels of fat causing many undesirable effects. As the food organisations in USA or the medical governing bodies not willing to take their steps in to this matter, it is unlikely to be solved in the near future.

The simple definition for the causes of obesity is fairly straight forward. Less calories are disposed compared to the amount you take. Gaining many health issues by increasing more weight almost 6 million Americans are have more tendency for fast food. Easier ways to get rid of your excessive fat quantity would be to do simple exercise which involves several day to day activities.

With many causes of obesity there should be some resisting actions required from your side to make yourself healthier and   fit. That will lead to a better health and a longer life.

American Obesity: Its Affects On Our Health

Posted by Naiza on Jun 23, 2010 in Women's Interests

The latest epidemic to hit america is obesity and the situation has become worse than ever. Why has American obesity become an epidemic? Is it inevitable that American parents and children remain just the right weight? If you speak with an American, you will see how concerned they are about the calorie intake. They almost always check the nutritional description on any cereal or box of food to double check the quantity they should consume. This is something you will see no Japanese or Indian do. So how come American obesity has become such an issue and how has the situation got out of hand?

Majority of Americans will claim that they did not become overweight on their own accord or due to carelessless. They say that they do not enjoy being the clothes size which reads triple X plus but, they also claim that the fault is solely not on their part. But the economists see a different point of view which shocks the public which states that America being obese is healthy on the economy.  The dramatic changes in lifestyle over the past few decades can be the major cause of American obesity.

Some people also point the finger at women s rights movement from which house wives in charge of the kitchen and healthy cooking have turned in to busy business women or professionals. They claim that due to a woman s absence in the kitchen and due to her being busier than usual, it allowed space for food technologists and industry giants in the food arena to come up with easy to make food such as cookies, fries, ice creams, soda   in short all those things served at food chains that serve high calorie foods.

American obesity is surely hitting the headlines around the world and is worrying many health practitioners. After a few decades of living on fast food, what can experts do to control American obesity? What do policy makers say about American obesity and how can they bring about a change in society? There goes one of the biggest challenges of Americans of the modern age!

Health And Your Obesity

Posted by Naiza on Jun 23, 2010 in Women's Interests

When we think about health obesity is one of the primary causes that make the equation go wrong. It is no secret that majority of health issues happen due to unhealthy food habits and lack of exercise. Bad food habits such as eating junk day in and day out plus lack of physical exercises to burn calories both sum up to health obesity issues.

Sadly, while more than half a population of kids starve to death or are food deprived, there s another fraction of kids that suffer from obesity epidemic due to excessive consumption of food. Due to some bizarre reason, many people don t seem to consider excessive eating and being overweight as a health hazard. A common denomination for bad food habits start from parents and it gets passed down to kids who also end up being obese.

From recently, health obesity issues have cropped alarmed parents, children and medical practitioners alike. research says that America will face a huge fight against obesity issues wit potential health hazards. Imagine a world in which all young people suffer from one chronic condition or another? What if the mortality rate of premature deaths increases? How would that affect the current young generation s children in another decade to come?  Are we about to see a world with orphans or maybe a world without any children at all?

According to a research more than 300,000 Americans pass away each year due to health obesity related causes; the more overweight a person is the more at risk he/she may be.  Heart diseases such as heart attacks, congestive heart failure, angina, chest pain to name a few the most challenging conditions that people suffer from today.

Health obesity also ruptures psychological well being by hampering one’s self esteem. Many individuals pretend that everything is fine when they suffer deep down inside about the health obesity issue that they see in the mirror everyday. On another ground, they may neglect themselves where they would keep on eating although they know that overweight will bring forth health issues.  Another group of obese people eat more and more in order to get over feeling bad but the case is that depression cannot be combatted by overeating. So now is time for some change!.

What Is Mini Gastric Bypass?

Posted by Naiza on Jun 23, 2010 in Women's Interests

Healthier diet and regular form of exercise is what you can do at best when you find that you are obese. However those classified as morbidly obese, the more severe stage of obesity where excess weight has accumulated as fatty tissue, are more likely to look into surgical procedures that will help them shed and control their body weight. Gastric bypass procedures are a group of standardized surgical procedures that will treat morbidly obese patients and the health problems they may develop.

The first approach to gastric bypass surgery is mini gastric bypass or loop gastric. It is a operation that staples the stomach and turns it into a sleeve. The purpose of the procedure is to create a very small stomach whilst the rest of the stomach is removed and the new stomach is attached to the small intestine therefore permitting the lower part of the stomach to be bypassed. As a result, obese people will tend to consume less and will absorb lesser amounts of food in to the body.

However, this surgical procedure comes with pros and cons. Ideally morbidly obese patients should lose up to 80% of excess body weight after gastric bypass surgery but it does not always become effective. Needless to say there is also a psychological and physiological impact on those who have gone through a mini gastric bypass surgery. Anastomotic leakage, anastomotic stricture and anastomotic ulcer are some of the after effects of the surgery and additionally, they may feel weak and become depressed due to changed eating patterns.

Due to its restraint of building that uses the loop reconstruction and has reduced the challenge of laparoscopic surgery, the mini gastric bypass is suggested as an standby to the Roux en-Y procedure that is a commonly employed gastric bypass technique. The choice of going in for a mini gastric bypass surgery should never be taken alone. A medical practitioner should recommend it and you should come to terms with implications of it before even considering the possibility..
